The Emergency Support Services (ESS) Modernization Project Team

The Emergency Support Services (ESS) Modernization Project Team recognizes the need to support virtual delivery of ESS wherever possible. EMBC is accelerating the implementation of the Evacuee Registration Assistance (ERA) tool to provide all Local Authorities and First Nation communities an opportunity to on-board to the new online ERA tool.

Recognizing the COVID-19 pandemic impacts all ESS teams across the province, we have shifted our provincial implementation from a phased approached planned over the next 12+ months, largely informed by the survey sent on Feb. 21st, to an accelerated province wide roll-out of the Evacuee Registration ERA tool. This onboarding and training will take place over a two week period of time, starting April 8th - 23rd.

Training sessions will be offered at four different times each day Tuesday – Friday, with additional sessions offered evenings and weekends. Following the two week onboarding and training sessions, EMBC will continue to offer a reduce number of weekly training sessions for those communities who may not have been ready earlier or want additional training. The attached, ERA Implementation Package contains critical next steps, including the ERA implementation requirements that need to be completed as soon as possible.
