Welcome to Emergency Preparedness Week!
Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is a national event supported by Public Safety Canada. FNESS supports Emergency Preparedness Week and encourages Indigenous communities in British Columbia to participate. Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week 2021 is May 2 - 8, 2021. FNESS will be sharing resources, safety information, and safety tips throughout the week. Please share this information with your contacts and community members.
This year, the theme is Emergency Preparedness: Be Ready for Anything. The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to take action to become better prepared for the range of emergencies they could face in their region. Be sure to check out the EP Week Challenge hosted by Public Safety Canada for a chance to win an emergency kit (https://www.getprepared.gc.ca/cnt/rsrcs/ep-wk/chllng-rls-rgltns-en.aspx).
Add the hashtag #EPWeek2021 to your social media posts to join the online conversation on emergency preparedness. Below are some additional resources for participating in EP week.
