WHY THIS FUND MATTERS
Emergency kits can make a critical difference in the first hours of a disaster. During wildfires, floods, and other emergencies, families may need to evacuate quickly with little time to gather essential supplies.
For many First Nations communities, particularly those in remote or rural areas, access to emergency resources and support services can be limited. Through this initiative, FNESS works directly with First Nations communities to support emergency preparedness by helping provide 72-hour emergency kits that strengthen safety and readiness during the first critical hours of an emergency.
