WHY THIS FUND MATTERS

Your support helps ensure First Nations communities have the knowledge, resources, and capacity
to prepare for the changing climate and protect their members during emergencies.

Across British Columbia, First Nations communities are facing growing climate risks while also navigating limited
access to emergency planning resources, training, and infrastructure. Wildfires, flooding, and extreme weather
place increasing pressure on community leadership and frontline responders. FNESS works directly with First Nations
to strengthen climate resiliency through preparedness training, risk planning, and community capacity building.

Your contribution will go towards helping communities anticipate hazards, respond effectively, and recover more quickly.
