WHY THIS FUND MATTERS
Support for this fund helps ensure that First Nations communities have access to the training, knowledge, and coordination needed to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
In the face of worsening environmental and climate conditions, FNESS works in direct partnership with First Nations communities across British Columbia to strengthen local emergency preparedness and response capacity. Wildfires, flooding, and extreme weather events place increasing pressure on community leadership, frontline responders, and already limited local resources. These challenges are often experienced more severely in remote and rural communities, where access to training, staffing, and emergency support systems can be limited.
Your contribution helps FNESS continue providing critical training, education, and coordination support so that First Nations communities are better prepared to respond to emergencies and protect their members when disasters occur.
