The Winter Home Fire Safety Campaign delivers fire safety tips and resources to First Nation communities across Canada. FNESS partnered with Indigenous Services Canada to deliver this campaign with the goal of creating community-based awareness of home fire hazards encountered during the winter months and how to reduce these hazards to keep families safe.

Components of the campaign include one comprehensive 11”x17” poster and tips on five ways to stay safe during the winter months:

  1. Candle Safety
  2. Check on Your Elders and Neighbours
  3. Cooking Safety
  4. Home Heating Safety
  5. Smoke Alarms & Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Each of the six sections includes postcards, safety sheets, and videos that accompany the poster and provide more in-depth safety tips.
